Guidelines
1. Teams will consist of no more than 5 members; three quizzers and two substitutes.
2. Each church will be permitted to have one quiz team.
3. A “Quiz Master” will ask the questions and officiate the quiz.
4. There will be three judges consisting of Pastors, Youth Pastors, or youth workers.
5. The decision of the quiz master and/or judges will be final.
6. All answers will be taken from the King James version of the Bible and must be complete.
7. The first person to stand will be given an opportunity to answer.
8. Verses may be quoted as long as the correct answer is contained in the quote.
9. Once a competitor begins to stand, the quiz master will stop reading the question and the contestant must give an answer. The contestant may not start to stand and then sit back down.
10. If the quiz master completed the reading of the question, the competitor may request for the question to be repeated. The question will only be repeated once.
11. If an incorrect answer is given, all quizzers will be seated and the question will be repeated for the other teams. Quizzers may stand as soon as the Quiz Master begins to read the question.
12. Once a contestant stands he or she will have 5 seconds to begin to answer.
13. All correct answers are worth 20 points.
14. Upon the third incorrect answer, 10 points will be deducted for each incorrect answer and/or for incorrect answers given for questions 26-30
15. The quiz will consist of 30 questions or 15 minutes, whichever comes first.
16. A contestant will quiz out after 6 correct answers.
17. A substitution may be made once during the contest upon the team leader’s request. Substitutions for quiz outs do not count as the one substitution.
18. Substitutions can be made any time before a question is read. There will no substitutions permitted after question 25
